Downtown Delray Beach, Summer 2026: How the Center of Gravity Just Moved West of Swinton

For thirty years, the mental map of downtown Delray has ended at Swinton Avenue. Everything east of that line was Atlantic, and everything west of it was a place you drove through. Summer 2026 is when that ends. Between the rolling openings at Sundy Village, a summer's worth of free midweek parking, and a handful of new restaurants filling out the blocks in between, the neighborhood residents have been living in is quietly reorganizing itself around a new corner.
